Audition to perform in We Will Rock You!

This summer presents an exciting opportunity for young performers to break free and showcase their talents in the dynamic musical "We Will Rock You: Young@Part." This special adaptation of the iconic Queen musical is tailored for a younger cast and offers a vibrant platform for aspiring actors, singers, and dancers to bring the legendary music and story to life. Auditioning for this production can be an exhilarating experience, providing a chance to develop performance skills, make new friends, and be part of a high-energy show that celebrates individuality and the power of rock music.

VCL's Summer Youth Project is an excellent opportunity for your young performer to rehearse and perform in a full musical production this summer, from 4th August - 16th August. Auditions are scheduled for Sunday, 4th May at The Old Savoy - the home of The Deco Theatre (which is where performances will also take place).

As well as two weeks of tuition, rehearsals, and performance, the project includes a free VCL show t-shirt!

Audition & Summer Project - Dates & Details

• Audition Date: Sunday 4th May 2025 (11am to 3pm)

• Audition Location: The Old Savoy, Northampton

• Rehearsal Dates: 04/08 - 14/08/2025

• Performance Dates: 15/08 & 16/08/2025

• Rehearsal Location Week 1: Northampton High School

• Rehearsal Location Week 2: The Old Savoy, Northampton

• Participation Fee: £250 (£225 sibling)

Who Can Take Part?

This invitation is open to all local young people aged 9 to 18, and aspiring performers who are passionate about the arts. Whether you sing, dance, act, or have another talent, we want to see you shine! Roles will be cast from auditions, and everyone who comes along will be involved in the show either as a featured role or as ensemble.

What will happen at the Audition?

Once you've completed the registration form, we will send you an audition pack explaining what will happen and how you can prepare.

What to Expect at Rehearsals?

During the week of rehearsals, you will have the chance to work with experienced directors and fellow performers, develop your skills, and create lasting friendships, whilst building an amazing show. The final performances will be a wonderful opportunity to showcase your hard work to friends and family.

When will participation fees be due?

There is no upfront fee for auditioning, but there is an expectation that your participation in the audition means you will be enrolling for the Summer Youth Project. Fees for the project can be paid in one go, or in instalments, prior to the course beginning (payment details and dates will be sent following registration).
